The government provides many conditions for conducting weddings in Dubai. The couple must follow the conditions given below to present themselves as legal husband and wife in front of the court.

  • The couple must be about the legal age of marriage.
  • They must have a residential visa to obtain a license.
  • The couples must provide original photocopies of the Bride and groom’s passport, birth certificate, payment for a marriage report, and marriage proofs.
  • They must submit the healthcare report obtained from the UAE-approved medical centers.

If the groom or Bride has experienced a previous divorce, they must submit the original divorce copy combined with the duplicate. It is necessary for the civil wedding in Dubai to have a death certificate if the groom or bride is a widow. 

Similarly, the parental or adult consent signature is essential during the marriage. The couples must submit the data before the court from the annulment copy to the final divorce copy.

Once the judge approves the marriage, non-Emirates must gain approval from the embassy for legalization. If the couple registers them to be legal, they can proceed with further living arrangements within the country.
